Mortlach Distillery

The Mortlach was the discovery of the year (for us). We had never heard of it. But I had a dream: Once to go in a whisky bar in the very heart of Speyside, in Dufftown. We made this true, went into the "Royal Oak" bar. When the bar keeper realized that we knew quite an amount of the single malts she had neatly ordered aroung the counter of the bar she recommended the Mortlach to us (and the Tormore). The Mortlach was an eye-opener. The whole experience in that bar was one of the highlights of the journey. (Photos are here in the lower part of the page.)
