MacDuff / Glen Deveron Distillery

On our trip to the NE corner of the highlands we came through MacDuff, and of course payed a visit to the distillery which makes the Glen Deveron, one of those we enjoy since many years. We have emptied many bottles, most of which we acquired in France, where you can get this whisky in any supermarchet.

They don't have a visitor centre or even a shop, but the secretary was talking with a worker when we were around, and I asked her if it was possible to get a tasting or a bottle. She denied the tasting but fetched me a bottle directly out of a big carton. That carton was piled with many others under the stairs... I paid her standing in front of the office building... quite elementary all this, and unforgettable. Thank you, madame.
