| Personal view: | The Laphroig is the most extreme of the Islay whiskies. Medicinical, phenolic, iodine, seaweed, salt and some sweetness. Now how does the distillery look like producing such a spirit? Quite nice, even romantical. Another surprise on the mystical island of Islay. |
| Shopping and tour: | In the visitor centre the dark wood rules. Old vitrines containing the books of account are displayed and available for reading to the visitors. A very special atmosphere of solid elegance. |
