Personal view: | Okay, now comes Glen Ord. Certainly one of the reasons we did travel to Scotland. The Glen Ord was the number one whisky of Angelika. It was easy to get in Austria. Then, about three years ago, it disappeared from our markets. "When we ever get to Scotland we must pay a visit to Glen Ord" was a frequent statement. This year we went to Scotland, and we visited Glen Ord. It was the first guided tour we made. What a feeling when you see everything in real that you have only read and dreamt about before. Great. |
Shopping and tour: | It was our first guided tour, and our second encounter with the concept "visitor centre" (after Tomatin). Overwhelming. In the shop we took 6 bottles of the 12-years and one bottle of the 23-years-old. Our next wedding anniversary is the 23rd... guess what we will drink then? |
