Dallas Dhu Distillery

Dallas Dhu is a closed distillery, but maintained as a museum, as the Scottish whisky museum. It is all very nice and cosy looking and at the same time very informative.

As Dallas Dhu is not working anymore, there are only some extremely expensive bottles left, but the shop has many other whiskies and other products to offer.
The tour is also different: here you get an audio guide, i.e. an electronic device, which explains to you what you want to hear, depending on where you are. The advantage is you determine by yourself the order and length of explanations. The disadvantage is, of course, no talking, joking, fun with some of the very friendly Scottish guide people. I prefer the conservative personal way of guidance...
