Aberlour Distillery

We had not planned to visit Aberlour, a whisky we like since some years, and know already quite well, and which we can get easily in Austria. But we stumbled over Aberlour while searching the Macallan distillery. So we just stopped, enjoyed the nice site, and went into the visitor centre to ask for the way. We ended up talking quite some time with the nice gentleman who overlooked the shop.

A nice shop. We did not participate the elaborate guided tour which lasts about two hours because we had already seen some and had some other Speyside places on our list for that day... The guide was a very friendly gentleman, patiently explaining us the way to the Macallan distillery. In the end we regret not having taken his tour, but then, the day has only 24 hours, even in Scotland.
As a souvenir we bought a bottle of the "Aberlour a'bunadh" cask strength.
