Distillery: Warenghem (Lannion)
Origin: Bretagne, France
This is a very young (four years) but real single malt made completely in France. A visit to the distillery is strongly recommended, if you happen to be in this beautiful region of the French "Bretagne". The mini-tumbler marketed with the Armorik logo does not allow the nose to develop, you should use a real Single Malt nosing glass instead.
Middle amber to orange. Label in black and white with traditional Breton logo.
When using the right glass (see note above) the nose is quite interesting, much more complex than you would expect for such a young bottling. In blind tasting, could easily be mixed up with an average Scottish Highlander.
Full and pleasing, but not really harmonic and rather short. (IMHO too young. Why not make an older variant?)
Range is 0 to 100 (0 would mean awful, 100 means the very best)
(See my general remarks about score values.)
